Property Taxes Lowered Through PVA Challenges
Modern
Property Management, Inc. challenged the taxable values of 35
properties representing 14 clients who requested the service.
The 2011 Fayette County Property Value Administration property
value tax appeal hearings were held between May 2 and May 16,
and the successful challenges resulted in out-of-pocket tax
reductions totaling $13,200 and an average 14.7 percent
reduction in property values, reflected in the 2011 tax bills.
Tax rates in the all-services areas of Fayette County are 1.0951
percent of assessed value.
